Final Proposal

Here's my proposal guys. Feed back is welcomed. =)

For the final project I plan on showing a group of photos (at least 10 of them). The project is based off the idea of the transitory and locations that fit that description. I have been spending a lot of time recently on the road, for various reasons, traveling around the tri-state area. This being such, I’ve been spending a lot of time in cars (as both a driver and a passenger), motels, and diners. I have noticed that these types of locations have a certain ambiance to them. My goal through this project is to do a series of portrait work (dealing with myself and the people I’ve been traveling with) that depicts this life style of moving from place to place and the locations you encounter on the way. The running title for the body of work is currently “Diners and Drives”. This name may change as the work continues to evolve. It is my hope to document my experience as an individual who is currently living this life style and depict these locations and people through the medium of fine art photography.

I plan on showing the photos on the wall. Ideally I’d like to try to create either a diner booth or a replica of a hotel room and show the photos on the walls of that space. I’d like to include instillation into my project (if time and resources permit) as I feel like my last instillation was successful and I would like to explore the medium more.
