Snapshot Aesthetic

I love it! So funny. A completely different take on portraiture. Reminds me in some part of Nicolas Nixon's pictures of his wife and her sisters.....he took a picture every year of them together and now he has 40!
Thanks Chelsea! These images are so great. What I find most interesting is that the subjects expressions in the present are almost identical, to those of the past. We start becoming who we are, forming personality, and traits that last our whole life at such a young age. (Obviously, I am accounting for the fact that the series photos are staged to look like the past, but somethings you can tell are natural- no strain to create).
Both of your comments reminded me of another photographer that could be relevant to look at as far as documenting over a period of time and traits that last a lifetime.
